Crostini Garlic Toasts

Ingredients
One
18-inch long narrow Italian or French bread
1 or 2
large cloves of garlic, peeled
olive oil as needed
Instructions
Preheat the oven to broil. Slice the bread into ½-inch thick pieces. Place them on a baking sheet.
Broil the bread for 1 – 2 minutes until lightly browned. Turn each piece over and broil on the other side for another minute or two.
Rub the garlic clove over one side of each slice of toasted bread. Brush with olive oil.
Use at room temperature or reheated for canapes.
